Valmeinier

Valmeinier resort is located between the Vanoise and Ecrins National Parks on the divide of the Northern and Southern Alps. Valmeinier covers two villages at two different altitudes: the traditional village of Valmeinier 1500 is at the foot of the slopes, and Valmeinier 1800 was developed in the late 80s but fits in with its unspoilt rural setting.

Valmeinier ski domain and the Valloire skiing area  constitute now the  domain of "Galibier-Thabor" (150 km of slopes) called like this thanks to the summits of the Mount Thabor (3178m) and Grand Galibier (3228m).
The resort provides a perfect and snowsure base for skiers and snowboarders to explore large, varied ski areas.
