Cauterets (932m)  is a well-established ski and spa resort in the heart of the Pyrenees, in a National Park.
Facing the Vignemale, the highest mountain in the area, the resort has been described as the "Chamonix of the Pyrénées".

Sector le Cirque du Lys
(1850m-2450m) a short cable car ride from Cauterets it's a small domain with good exposure and abundant snow cover throughout the season for skiers and snowboarders of all levels.

Sector le Pont d’Espagne
The domain is ideal for alpine skiing beginners and children.

It is also an area specializing in the practice of mountain activities with a rich array of cross-country and snowshoeing trails in the lush forested surroundings
of the Pyrenean National Park

The "after skiing" pleasures  can be enjoyed all along the streets and through the numerous activities offered by the Cauterets village: Cauterets also has a selection of bars, restaurants and 2 nightclubs.

Visitors who want a break from skiing can experience snowshoeing, ice-skating, indoor ice skating rink, or fronton indoor rock climbing wall.
